Geklontes Company According to allegations that scammers use the name or other detail of a real company or the "Company Registration Number" (FRN) that we give to authorized companies to attempt to defraud individuals in the United Kingdom, we have heard from them. That' s what we call a "cloned company", and scammers use this policy to make their allegations appear real or to suggest working for an authorized company.

That real company has no connection to the "cloned company." The Commission may provide, advertise or dispose of either in the United Kingdom or in any other part of the world of United Kingdom finance either in the form of sales or marketing of United Kingdom finance service or products: As a matter of urgency, we recommend that you only negotiate with finance companies authorized by us and verify the accuracy of the register of finance service providers.

They contain information about companies and persons who are or have been subject to regulation by us. This register also covers companies organised in a European Economic Area (EEA) Member State which provide UK based finance service or product. Such undertakings are considered to be 'EEA-approved'. In order to check the authenticity of an authorized company, ask for the "company number" we give them and their contacts, but always call them back at the telephone exchange listed in the register.

In case there is no information in the register or the company says it is out of date, please call our consumer hotline at 0800 111 6768. Scammers often adjust their policies, so you should perform extra controls to make sure you're working with the real, authorized company and have the right contacts - especially if you've been cold-stacked.

Further action is needed to help prevent unauthorized companies and fraud. Also, you should be cognizant that if you give funds to an unauthorized or clustered company, you will not be eligible for the Financial Ombudsman Service (Link is External) or Financial Services Compensation Scheme (Link is External) (FSCS) if something goes improper.

They can see more ways to notify an unauthorized company and find out what to do if you have been cheated. Should you believe that your authorized company has been compromised or that fraudsters are using your name or other information in a fraudulent manner, you should call our company hotline at 0845 606 9966 (call charges may vary).
