Noddle to be launched in the UK - Credit Karma purchases Noddle - FinTech Future Julie Muhn at Finovate reported that just one months after the introduction of the new car insurer Credit Karma is again growing - this year across national boundaries. The reason for this is the takeover of Noddle by the San Francisco-based San Francisco-based firm, a UK-based start-up that provides free credit information to consumers.

TransUnion, which Noddle as part of its acquisition of CallCredit for $ 1.4 billion in April this year, Noddle obtained Credit Karma made the acquisition of TransUnion. TransUnion does not participate in Credit Karma; the conditions of the arrangement are not revealed, but appear to be pure bar.

"Noddle's similar missions and story as the first free credit information company in the UK has made this a clear choice for Credit Karma," says Credit Karma's VP of Global, Valerie Wagoner. Noddle's more than 35 staff will be among Credit Karma's more than 700 people. Crédit Karma has "immediate plans" to extend its UK office and intends to "more than double" the UK office - which will be located in London and Leeds - over the next year.

Noddle's takeover encompasses its people, technologies and customers - more than four million of them. That number strengthens the current Credit Karma US customer basis, which currently has more than 85 million members. Credit Karma was established in 2007 and has completed five takeovers, making this latest Noddle takeover the 6th.

In March, after having received a second round of $500 million investments, the firm increased its value to $4 billion.
