Often the terms are in small letters at the top of the page or on the back of the loan contract or even in a seperate brochure that was given to you at the moment of the loan or not. Furthermore, there may be a set default fee.
Recently, we were acting on behalf of a customer who, at the point of borrowing (from a non-high Street lender), had signed a two-sided â loan offerâ listing a number of fees and interest charges with no clear indications of when they were due. On the top of the page stood that the loan was provided on the conditions stated below and âin the brochure.

As of April 3, 2018, the following charges are accurate. This fee applies to mortgages, extra credits and/or after conclusion of extra collateral. If you look at the charges levied by other companies, you may see some that are not listed in our rate (below).

Prepayment fee (change or termination of your mortgage) You may have to make this payment if: If you are paying more than your mortgages allow; you change the mortgages or lenders during a specific interest payment cycle (e.g. while you are on a set or tracked interest rate); you return all or part of your mortgages before the end of the mortgages cycle (e.g. during your set or tracked interest cycle or during the first 2 years of a tracked interest rate).
