List of old Credit Card Companies

Old credit card companies list

WE HAVE OFTEN ENCOUNTERED SUCH LENDERS. For a list of PPI contact details of banks that previously issued access cards, see below. Finding a vendor who can file a complaint about PPI.

Maybe you can still lodge a complaint if your ISP no longer exist. When you believe that a vendor has renamed or become a different company, you should review your records and declarations for information about an affiliated banking institution or other vendor that you may use. They should also look on-line to find more information about changing the name or ownership.

In case you cannot find this information or are not sure which supplier to turn to, you can get in touch with us. So if you believe that you have been selling PPI to a vendor that has abandoned its operations, you may be eligible for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) - see if the FSCS can help (link is external).

Credits/credit cards in the 80's/90's, but no detail. Well, how can I find out?

One bank only keeps the 6 years it needs, another keeps the time. RBS can, for example, keep dates up to 1992 (sometimes earlier), MBNA in the mid-1990s, Barclaycard about the same, according to when the bank was shut down. They are also known for withholding information from the early to mid-1990s.

Loan bureaus will only list last 6 year detail, so if something was shut down before that time, nothing will be displayed about that bankroll. But if you want to continue anyway, one way to find out is to call some bankers to verify - however, it is very unlikely that they will have old bank account information available on their present system.

One way to be sure is to submit a Subject Access Application to a bank where you may have an existing bank deposit with. It costs £10 per enquiry - so you can potentially invest a lot of money discovering that no information is stored, or just knowing that you definitely don't have an email address with a particular organization.

There' s an A-Z list of bank names and adresses in one of the sticksies. I recommend that you take a look at this list of bankers to see if one of them rings your doorbell - this should help you make a list of options.
