In the last few weeks I was asked to Rock Ventures (Dan Gilbert - the Cleveland Cavalier and Quicken Loans owners - yeah that Rock Ventures) to make the final speech for their HR and Talent Summit by the corporate community in downtown Detroit!
In the last few weeks I was asked to Rock Ventures (Dan Gilbert - the Cleveland Cavalier and Quicken Loans owners - yeah that Rock Ventures) to make the final speech for their HR and Talent Summit by the corporate community in downtown Detroit! Apparently, every one of the 130 Rock Venture CEOs seemed to be 30 years old!
Like you can think, a rapidly expanding company that can expand quickly enough or employ enough talents to keep pace. A session was chaired by Victor You, CEO of Rock Connections, a call centre constructed for Quicken Loans, but they found that other businesses needed a high value call centre so they began to sell their service.
The majority of Rock Venture businesses have a similar history. It is a Detroit based business. Our whole university campus is located in Detroit inner center. They' re hiring Detroit people. This makes Detroit one of the fastest growing US capitals, almost by hand. This is Victor's issue as chief executive officer of a rapidly expanding start-up.
Skirt doesn't want to have to move everyone he hires to Detroit. They' re gonna take on the guys who are already in Detroit. Detroit's regular guy is like most downtown towns. Mr. Victor completed his studies at the University of Michigan. The thing I like about Victor is that he gets a gift. It gets talents on a completely different scale than 99% of the world' s chief executives.
Viktor told the group it was "raw" skill compared to experienced skill. Nearly all of us employ experienced people. So that'?s what we enlist and employ. Viktor's not looking for experiment. VICTORIA is looking for crude talents. Saw that many Detroiters had these qualities, but no one was willing to give them a syringe because they did not have the "experience".
Said, "We can train them for the job," it's more difficult to train them for the crude talents they have. Actually, you can't be teaching these crude talents. You have to begin to change the way you do things in a narrow valley of talents. and we need more chief executive management like Victor You.
